Each couple's dream wedding ideas are personal – and yet some wedding themes seem to stand out more than others: Princess Wedding, Destination Wedding, Sports Wedding, Military Wedding or Medieval Wedding.
Princess Wedding
A horse-drawn carriage picks you up and home and delivers you to an old stone church. You're wearing a princess wedding gown. After the ceremony, a white dove release symbolizes the spirituality of your union. Your carriage ride continues to the wedding reception, where seating is marked by hand-written placards.
A photographer and two videographers stay with you, recording these cherished memories. Throughout the day, your wedding planner has orchestrated a day you'll relish telling your children and grand-children about.
Sports Wedding
It begins with a black-and-gold wedding theme invitations, if the two of you met at a Steelers game, have coveted season tickets and never miss a game. The entire wedding is themed in black and gold from centerpieces to the wedding cake. You serve sports event style food and even distribute themed pins to your guests as favors. Music includes your favorite football songs.
You don't have to be a sports fanatic to want a sports wedding theme – but the two of you being crazy about a certain sport sure can help.
Destination Wedding
A destination wedding is a vacation that can entwine a magical ceremony with a fantastic honeymoon – with your choice of how many people attend, ranging from the two of you to a full-blown guest list. A destination wedding with close family members can cost less than a fancy wedding reception for 200 guests.
Destinations can be as diverse as a seaside wedding on a beach, an island in the Caribbean, a cruise or a wedding in Scotland or Italy. As you can imagine, this can play into beach wedding themes.
Military Wedding
A military wedding could be awesome for two peole who are currently in military – or who met while serving our country. A military wedding is a ceremony conducted in a military chapel and may involve a Saber Arch. In most military weddings the groom will wear (and occasionally the bride if both individuals are in the Armed Services), a military dress uniform in lieu of civilian formal wear, although military dress uniforms largely serve the same purpose. Some retired military personnel who marry after their service has ended may opt for a military wedding.
Medieval Wedding
Medieval wedding themes seem to be growing in popularity. You could be married in a castle, and he'll have to treat you like a princess! A visit to a Renaissance Faire or Society For Creative Anachronism event may provide you with all the ideas you need to make it happen.
Other Wedding Ideas
Your wedding themes could also happen in an outdoor setting, like a local or state park or even a zoo. For others, their fantasy wedding takes them to a fine arts locale, back to college, or to an amusement park for the wedding reception.
For some, their fantasy wedding is a double wedding. This could be two siblings or two best friends saying their wedding vows at the same time.
