Let the fun begin! Here are ideas for fun games for your bridal shower. To make it easy, each how–to suggestion comes complete with directions, rules and advance preparation directions.

Wedding Dress Design

Divide your guests into two or more groups of 3 to 5 people. Each group chooses a model for their wedding dress. The goal is for each group to wrap their model into a toilet paper wedding dress.

Rules: Everything involved must be fashioned from toilet paper. The bride picks the winner.

Advance preparation: Purchase rolls of white toilet paper.

What's In The Purse

The maid of honor calls out the items on a list. The idea is to be the first guest to produce each object from the list.

Rules: Every answer gets either a small prize or points. Uncommon items should have cooler prizes or higher point values.

Advance preparation: Your maid of honor lists objects likely to be found in guests' purses. Items can be everyday (lipstick, pill box, mints) or bawdy (used tissue, underwear, a condom), but they should start out ordinary and become more obscure.

Two Truths & A Lie

Ask each guest to tell the group three things about herself – two are true, one is a lie. The remaining guests guess which statement was false. When each guest has announced which statement she thinks is false, the "liar" confesses to her lie. This creates opportunities for humorous story swapping.

Advise shy guests to theme the three statements: "My first car was a navy Saab, I've been in five car accidents, and I got my driver's license when I was 26."

Rules: The guest who offes the funniest lie receives a prize. The bride selects the winner.

Advance preparation: If you don't want this to take a turn towards sexy statements, be sure to lay down ground rules beforehand.

I Never

Hand each guest ten candies. The bride says a true statement, such as, "I never kissed before". Anyone who has done what she said pops a candy in her mouth or otherwise gets rid of it.

Rules: Play passes clockwise from the bride, with the next guest announcing something she has never done. Everyone who has done that disposes of a candy. When someone is out of candies, the game ends. The woman with the most items left wins a prize.

Advance preparation: Have enough pieces of candy that everyone can start with ten. Have a prize handy.

The Groom

Tell everyone the questions that were asked of the groom. Each person writes down how many they think the bride will get right by matching the groom's answer. Ask the bride the questions and let her answer. Keep track of how many she gets right.

Rules: Winners are the women who orrectly predicted how many questions the bride would get right. Each one gets a prize.

Advance preparation: The maid of honr asks the groom to answer a list of 15 questions about himself and his fiancee. Ask him to keep the questions a secret. Write questions and his anwers on index cards. Possible questions include:

Wake Up & Smell The Spices

Offer ten numbered containers of herbs or spices to your guests. Ask them to smell the containers and write down their guesses as to which spices and herbs are in each.

Rules: The guest with the most correct answers may keep the spices or give them to the bride.

Advance preparation: Gather ten spices or herbs and place them in numbered but otherwise unmarked containers. The numbers are to keep track of them.

The Price Is Right

Guests write down their guesses as to the total price of household items that you display for them.

Rules: The one with the closest total, based on your receipts, wins a prize.

Advance preparation: Purchase ten household items, such as cleaners, polishes, detergents, soaps, cloths and so forth. Total how much you paid. Keep your receipts.

Guess

Pass bags around for guests to feel before passing to the next guest. They should have a pen and paper to write down their guesses. The guest with the most correct answers wins.

Rules: Each guest keeps the bag for a short time, perhaps 15 seconds, before passing it. Answers are written down.

Advance preparation: Select 15 common items around the house. Items may include a remote control, CD or DVD, pen, tooth brush and so forth. Place each item in a separate bag, which you number. You'll also want to have pads of paper and pens or pencils.
